Dr. Ana is a clinical psychologist, founder of Nogales Psychological Counseling, Inc., and Casa de la Familia, which she established in the year 1996 for victims of trauma. She oversees a clinical staff of 30 bicultural-bilingual mental health professionals and an outreach program for domestic violence and sexual assault victim services in Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties.

Dr. Nogales was recently appointed as the Women Graduates-USA Violence Against Women Working Group Chair. WG-USA is the USA affiliate of Graduate Women International (GWI), the leading girls’ and women’s global organization run by and for women, advocating for women’s rights, equality, and empowerment through access to quality education and training.

Dr. Nogales’ professional career is anchored by her commitment to combat violence, especially violence against women and children.
