Las Comadres Para Las Americas, Inc. has established protocols intended to maintain a respectful and safe environment as we re-engage in face-to-face Comadrazos, book club gatherings, or other Las Comadres events (Activity/Activities). Many in our Latina/o/x communities suffer from underlying health conditions and we are particularly concerned to protect them. These protocols will apply starting July 1, 2021, until further notice. We hope to ease these restrictions and protocols soon and will stay on top of the situation. We recommend the use of masks at all events and continued social distancing where possible.
NOTE: Everyone attending a Comadres face to face event MUST SIGN the waiver form below or they are not allowed to attend. We trust hostesses to enforce this requirement for the protection of all.
The individual networks / groups will decide for themselves when they will return to face to face meetings / activities. Virtual zoom meetings are still welcomed, hybrid meetings as well.
Q&A Sessions. Dr. Nora de Hoyos Comstock and Maria Ferrer will host two (2) Q&A sessions on these waiver forms on Monday, July 12 and July 19 at 8pm ET/ 7pm CT/ 6pm MT/ 5pm PT. All Comadres are encouraged to attend.
The Covid Waiver Forms are below. Facilitators can download and print for their face to face meetings / events.
1) The Hostess waiver form which must be completed by the hostess, signed and a copy emailed to Maria Ferrer BEFORE your invitation is distributed to your network(s). If there is a co-hostess, she will be required to complete her own hostess waiver form.
