We want to recognize and acknowledge Comadres who exemplify the virtues of Loyalty, Generosity, Sisterhood and Kindness in the following categories:
- Comadres Helping Comadres: The Nora Award for Comadre of the Year
- Community Helping Their Community: The Nora Award for Comadre Community Service
- In Partnership with us: The Nora Award for Friend to Las Comadres
Who can nominate & be nominated:
*Person nominating must be an active and current member of Las Comadres.
*Person nominated must be an active and current member of Las Comadres.
*Nominee and nominator must have been a Comadres for a minimum of 2 years.
*Multiple nominations are permitted.
*You can nominate more than one Comadre for each category.
*Only one self-nomination.
*Past and current Board of Directors and the Director of Programs are not eligible to receive a Nora Award. However, they are allowed to nominate others in each category.

Requirements: The Nora Award for Comadre of the Year
This Award is specifically for a Comadre who has helped another Comadre(s).
*Recipient exemplifies the Comadres values of sisterhood, dedication, and loyalty.
*Both nominees and nominators must be an active and current members of Las Comadres for a minimum of 2-years.
*Nominees cannot self-nominate.
Requirements: The Nora Award for Comadres Community Service
This Award is specifically for a Comadres who has helped her community.
*Nominee must be an active current Comadre for a minimum of 2 years.
*Nominees can self-nominate in this category.
*Nominee must be actively serving her community for more than 1-year / 12 months.
*Recipient exemplifies the Comadres values of community, dedication, and service.
*Nominee and her company (if applicable) is geared toward helping or serving Latinos within her community — for adults or kids.
*Nominees must have proof of community service, including letters of recommendation from Community groups or testimonials from community
Requirements: The Nora Award for A Friend to Las Comadres
This award will be chosen by the Board of Directors this inaugural year.
